We are committed to preserving and protecting our community and the environment we live in. Naturally, sustainability is at the core of everything we do.

The botanicals used in the production of our gin and harvested from our garden are grown in an organic and environmentally friendly way. Preserving traditional skills combined with new technologies, we’re making efforts to reduce water and energy consumption.

Packaging
Our packaging is made from FSC-certified materials, and we support non-profit organizations committed to global reforestation and the protection of our planet. In our efforts to reduce our environmental footprint, we have reduced the amount of glass used in the manufacture of our bottles, saving dozens of tonnes of material, cutting our transport volumes and therefore our greenhouse gas emissions.

Since the launch of our new website, we have removed all the plastic parts from the shipping packaging. Shipping boxes are made either from recycled or FSC certified sources paper. Filler materials are made from 100% recycled paper or from natural corn starch, which is fully biodegradable and compostable.
We also make sure our partners use recycled and recyclable materials. We are constantly on the look for new, sustainable solutions in order to reduce waste. Please reuse, recycle (and drink responsibly).

One Ocean
Foundation
Starting in 2023, we have signed a long-term partnership with One Ocean Foundation: an international environmental protection project that has been pushing towards a "blue economy" and ocean literacy since 2017. As donors, we support concrete actions with a particular focus on those aimed at preserving the Portofino area. These include the upcoming joint project aimed at replanting the Tigullio Gulf with the Posidonia Oceanica: a seagrass which plays an important role in the marine ecosystem, by capturing carbon dioxide (CO2), generating oxygen and providing habitat and nutrition for many species of fish, crustaceans and molluscs.
One Tree Planted
One Tree Planted is a non-profit organization committed to restoring forests and natural environments around the world, to combat climate change. For every purchase made on our website, you have the possibility to contribute 1 euro which will be used to plant a tree.
ecoSPIRITS™
Portofino Dry Gin is among the first in its sector to join ecoSPIRITS™, an innovative distribution system, which uses the world's first technology aimed at eliminating the use of disposable glass for spirits. At the heart of the project is the ecoTOTE™ : a futuristic recyclable container that allows cutting the consumption of single-use bottles. The investment to access the circular economy of ecoSPIRITS™ is within the reach of even small producers: find out how to join this progressive and sustainable project.
Chefs For Life
Portofino Dry Gin supports Chefs for Life since 2022, a movement turning culinary creativity into solidarity. By hosting exclusive charity dinners featuring top chefs, they support humanitarian associations, emphasizing the value of life. Over 200 chefs have joined this impactful initiative, making a difference through food and compassion.
Urban Bike Messengers
We have started this year the collaboration with Urban Bike Messengers, a company that delivers emission-free in Milan using bicycles. This partnership not only reduces the environmental impact of our delivery operations but also supports the adoption of sustainable mobility solutions in urban areas.
One Ocean Foundation
Since 2023, we have established a long-term partnership with the One Ocean Foundation: a leading global environmental project dedicated to promoting a 'blue economy' and raising awareness of the oceans since 2017. As committed donors, our active involvement extends throughout the year, supporting the foundation's various projects. Committed to tangible actions, our attention is particularly focused on preserving the Portofino area. In particular, a major joint initiative launched in 2023 aims to revitalise the Gulf of Tigullio through the replanting of Posidonia Oceanica - a seagrass that is crucial to the marine ecosystem. Posidonia Oceanica plays an essential role in capturing CO2, generating oxygen and serving as a habitat and nutritional source for various marine species, such as fish, crustaceans and molluscs.
